Information obligation on the protection of personal data for volunteers, applicants for the organisation of the European Handball Championship Men 2022 (hereinafter EHF EURO 2022).

European Handball Federation (abbreviated as EHF) has entrusted the Slovak Handball Federation, based at Trnavská cesta 37, 831 04 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, (hereinafter SHF) with the organisation of the EHF EURO 2022 in men’s handball (hereinafter EHF EURO 2022) on the territory of the Slovak Republic, while this event is also taking place on the territory of Hungary, where the Hungarian Handball Federation has been entrusted with the organisation of the event. SHF is within the meaning of Act 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data (hereinafter referred to as the Act), the controller of your personal data. If you, as a candidate for a volunteer position at the EHF EURO 2022, are going to provide personal data to SZH, for example by means of the volunteer questionnaire available online from the above website, we provide you with the following information according to the law.

In accordance with applicable data protection legislation, you hereby acknowledge that your personal data will be processed by the Slovak Handball Federation (as the controller) and will be further disclosed to the European Handball Federation – EHF, European Handball Federation, Hoffingergasse 18, 1120 Vienna, Austria, in the event of your selection as a volunteer for the purposes of the accreditation process, if required by the EHF.

Purpose of processing: The personal data you provide us with will be used for the purpose of securing, registering and managing volunteers (assignment of volunteers between the individual cities of Bratislava, Košice) for the organisation of the EHF EURO 2022 and for the following processing purposes:

  • a volunteer selection procedure to evaluate your qualifications and personal experience and to verify whether you meet the specific requirements for a volunteer position before and during the EHF EURO 2022,
  • in the case of selection for a volunteer position to ensure the accreditation process, if required by the EHF,
  • in addition, personal data may be disclosed to the security forces and state authorities of the Slovak Republic in the context of the implementation of possible security measures.

By completing and submitting, you confirm that all information submitted in the online application is correct, accurate and complete.

Your personal data will be processed by the Slovak Handball Association. Recipients of your personal data may include:

  1. Global Services Slovakia, s.r.o, Topoľčianska 1, 851 05 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, ID No:35837179, which provides the controller with software and hardware equipment and technically ensures the collection of personal data as well as their storage in a secure database,
  2. European Handball Federation, Hoffingergasse 18, 1120 Vienna, Austria, for the accreditation process, if you are selected to volunteer, if required by the EHF,

The legal basis for the processing is your consent as a data subject, including in the case of special category and, in the case of identification data, the legitimate interest of the controller to ensure the diversity of volunteers, the skills required in order to assure the quality of this sporting event and the equality of approaches to participation in the selection.

Right to access

In certain circumstances, you are entitled to ask us to stop using your personal information, for example, where you believe that the personal information we hold about you may be inaccurate or where you believe that we no longer need to use your personal information.
